Day 58, Scarf 58: Canadians Sing the Blues

Yesterday's scarf was knitted while watching the Canada vs. USA hockey game. Somehow I seemed to know we were going to be singing the blues when I chose the multiple shades of blue yarn to use. Thank you to Shannon, Peggy, and Anne for donating the yarn!

In more positive news, when I visited my parents yesterday I discovered that they had about 4 bags of yarn for me! 2 bags were from my great Uncle-Billy and another two were from another of my dad's co-workers, Shawn (actually, it was Shawn's mother). My cupboards are overflowing with yarn! What a blessing.

Day 57, Scarf 57: Heart of a Pirate

Tonight we went to LiveCity Yaletown with our friends Shannon, Mike, and Marnie to see Coeur de Pirate (Heart of a Pirate) and Sam Roberts for free. We were in line for about 45 minutes but the line was fun, friendly and fast moving. Once we were inside, it took only a few minutes before my one of my favourite Quebecois groups, Coeur de Pirate, came on. The lead singer's voice is absolutely beautiful. It was a cold night but the music of Coeur de Pirate and Sam Roberts, as well as the beaver tails and hot chocolate, kept us going! What a great night.

Day 56, Scarf 56: Stars

After finally completing all of my report cards tonight, Max suggested we head downtown to see if we could get into the Stars concert being held at the Orpheum. We were in luck! There were still a few tickets floating around and we managed to get seats in the 21st row. Great seats and amazing music. After the concert we headed home so I could work on the scarf. Very late to bed tonight!

Day 55, Scarf 55: Blue #4

Well, I think the next scarf is going to have to be another colour because I am getting tired of knitting the same colour over and over again. I am so grateful to have had donations of such large balls of yarn.

This scarf was knitted while I was trying to get report cards done, created a second Moodle, and made dinner. Getting scarves done is a real challenge this week!

Day 54, Scarf 54: Blue #3

You guessed it, more blue yarn! Max and I went to a curling match tonight and it was fantastic! With the help of some Americans sitting in front of us we started what we think was the first ever "wave" at a curling match. Curling did not know what hit it tonight!

Day 53, Scarf 53: Blue #2

It seems that blue is a very popular colour for yarn donations. I'm going to be knitting with blue yarn for a while...I am so grateful to have had so many donation so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Enjoy all of the blue!

Day 52, Scarf 52: Moodle Blue-dle

Yesterday's scarf was knitted with frilly baby blue yarn donated by my friend Shannon. I knitted the scarf as I headed out to Shannon's place for a few Moodle lessons. I Moodled all day long but managed to finished my Blue-dle scarf!
