Thanks to my friend Maryke I was able to keep knitting today without having to go through all the mini balls of yarn that I have left. She gave me thick yarn and now I can knit even faster! Thank you, Maryke!

My brother and his girlfriend Angela surprised me with tickets to a concert tonight...I can't even say the name of the group we went to see because they were one hit wonders from about 13 years ago that are attempting to make a come back and it's too embarrassing. That said, I had a lot of fun singing along with Angela!!

This scarf reminds me of one of Max' s favourite snacks - popcorn twists. They are delicious because they are popcorn without the crunchy bits.

This one reminds me of the delicious lemon meringue pie that we purchased from Princes while we were in Oroville. My mouth is actually watering as I think about it!

As I knitted these red and white yarns together I couldn't help but think of my lovely grade 2 and 3 students who always ask to sing O Canada. How very patriotic!

Day 265, Scarf 265: Sun shiny day

Go figure. The weather was supposed to be rainy today and I dressed appropriately. Then the sun came out! How is it that we never know what the weather is going to do? Oh well, at least it was a happy surprise!

The name of this scarf is inspired by the way I've been feeling today. I actually stood and stared at the photocopier today because I was at a loss for how to do what I needed to do even though I've done it many times before... I hope things are going to get a little bit easier!

Day 263, Scarf 263: Two-tone?

Tonight Max and I had a great debate over paint colours for the exterior of the new house. He wants to paint the front blue and the sides gray. I'm just not sure about it...why would the sides be a different colour? I just want a blue house with white trim...but if I saw what the blue and gray looked like then I might like it. I don't know what I think anymore!

Day 262, Scarf 262: Granny Grad Student

I have to admit that when I went to my Digital Media course tonight I felt a bit like the "senior student" because everyone else was just starting their teaching degrees. To top it off, it was all this technology stuff that I know nothing about...just call me Granny Grad Student!

Day 261, Scarf 261: SuperWalk

Well, we were supposed to do the SuperWalk for Parkinson's today but it was pouring rain so we met Max's parents for brunch instead. I think my steamed milk and cinnamon bun was much more enjoyable on this rainy day!

I think it's the colours and the bumpy texture of this scarf that reminds me of what I imagine Ogopogo looks like.

Tonight I ordered a steamed milk with caramel at Turk's on the way back from walking to our soon-to-be home. This was my drink of choice while we were in Oroville (on the colder days). It just seemed appropriate tonight. Yum!

Day 258, Scarf 258: Time Flies

My whole body has been out of whack because of the shift in our school timetable. Today I taught a 1 hour and 5 minute music class to grade 1 students by accident! I was still on the old schedule! Whoops!

Day 257, Scarf 257: Inspector Stucco

Today we did the home inspection on the duplex we put an offer on. We were most concerned that the stucco may have moisture problems but lo and behold after Inspector Stucco himself, Brad, did several moisture tests, in stucco the colour of this scarf, all was well! The duplex will be ours!!

First day back to teaching and going to school (I mean, university). What a long hard day. My head hurts!

I chose to use red in this scarf to represent the red apple that should keep the teachers happy!

Doesn't this scarf just make your mouth water? It reminds me of the chocolate fudge sundaes at Dairy Queen. Why do the majority of my posts have to do with food?

Today we put in an offer on a duplex and it was accepted! Once we get the inspection done we can make that house a happy home!

Day 250, Scarf 250: Antici...pation

We just found out that the duplex Max and I would like to purchase but which had an offer on it is now back on the table as the other couple's offer fell through! Our feet are in the door as we will go to sign an offer tomorrow! I am filled with anticipation!
